Power of Simplicity by Pedro Almeida
We recently published Pedro Almeida's project "Power of Brands" and now he's back with a new project. Power of Simplicity Minimal Numbers is about the big impact of minimalist design to us. "Less is more" as a lot of you know, means representing something with the less details possible and still recognize it. less visual, more communication.
In this personal project, I tried to show the definition of simplicity and minimalism presenting numbers using simple round and straight forms as an example and also with famous brands in my previous personal project.

"Would it have worked better with thin lines? Would it be "more minimal" with thinner lines?" No and no, because once again that is not the definition of simplicity and/or minimalism, but it could have been an option to use thinner lines. "Could the numbers be represented in another minimalistic way?" Of course, I believe that is just one of many other ways to represent numbers in a minimal form and still recognize them in a small amount of time.

The things I consider when I create something, is its functionality, valuable or have usability and then I think about it's aesthetics, always focusing on simplicity. But this project has nothing to do with creating something, it is only an exercise work, practicing my creativity and graphic design skills. Also, in this project, I am not trying to re-invent the visual aspect of numbers, it is only a personal project to see how I can represent the numbers in a minimalist way and still be easily recognized.

To keep moving forward, I am always seeking for innovative design ideas and solutions. I am always looking to improve the communication of visuals so I can contribute for the future of visual communication, which I believe will get simpler and simpler, not only graphic elements but also industrial design, and things we are surrounded by. "Less is more", Less visuals, more communication/functionality.
