PS25Under25 by Chris Rivera
Chris Rivera's project "PS25Under25" is a collection of some of his favorite works, for Photoshop’s 25 Under 25 search for 2015! He feels that the project on Behance shows a variety of his work: from his large conceptual and technical photos, to his simple and laid back multiple exposures! It’s his view of the world shown on a computer screen.
For some of my photos, the more “cinematic” and grand photos that I have on my project, I have those planned in my head while I shoot. I have different brushes and editing techniques that I’ve learned through Photoshop to help me get to where I want to be. As for my multiple exposures, those are purely a waiting game: I go through various landscape photos that I have stored on my drives until I find a photo that works EXTREMELY well with the silhouette! After I choose a photo for the layering, I decide to stick to a theme with different coloring, added elements (like birds of clouds), and the like.

The inspiration for my project is merely the creative vibes that I have in my head: some photos will be inspired by movies, some by songs, and even a few from myths! I feel like I get lost in my head when I try to come up with an idea because there are so many things that I see/hear to be inspiring.

I would give two main pieces of advice: first, always experiment! Experimenting with different styles, photo settings, lighting will build your knowledge of photography and help you to get out of creative stumps! Another tip is to always believe in your work: it’s key that you like what you put out, instead of just posting to post! Sometimes I’ll work on a photo and it just doesn’t work out for me at the moment, I’ll put it aside and give it some time. If by the time I come around to the same image and I still don’t like it, I merely toss it out! At one time, I was posting certain photos just to post them, and they were trash (none of the photos in my Behance project were part of that list! ;) )

Until last March, I was using a Canon Rebel T2i with a 50mm f/1.4 lens! Now, I use a Canon 6D with the same lens! I also sparingly use my 24-105mm lens for wider shots!

About Chris Rivera
Chris Rivera is a fine art/conceptual photographer living in Southern California! As funny as it is, he have never really liked photography growing up. It wasn’t until he was a senior in high school when he found some interest in a photography club his friend had put together: seeing someone use a DSLR was so intriguing and interesting! By the time he graduated that year, he bought himself a Canon DSLR and started shooting. See more of his works on Behance.
Amazing photo manipulation techniques and concepts!
