Let me introduce you to RAVEN- the lightest carbon fiber adult scooter ever designed by Citybirds ! The main idea of Raven scooter was to try changing an elementary behavior of an item as such and to attempt making it more classy, more subtle and more user-friendly, and handy to use. Therefore the Raven kick scooter folds with a single movement of a foot. Its users just need to press the pedal with a foot and that is that. So it is absolutely comfortable to use.

Since we wanted to expand our target group and to create a trend which would involve businessmen to be a part of this eco-friendly vehicle movement, we have chosen carbon fiber material for its luxuriance, stability and lightness. Therefore, say hi to the lightest scooter in todays world!

From the very beginning, of course we used the simple white sheet of paper. We have learned a lot new things from this amazing process, and now we understood that today design is not only a material you chose, shape or function you create, nevertheless it is super complex process which involves designer to become a part of marketing, physics, engineering, business, political or social movement, sustainability, advertising, environment etc. After tones of hand sketches, paper and clay models, we started to build up the reality using softwares as Autocad, SolidWorks, Maya, Cinema 4d, photoshop and etc.

RAVEN kick scooter has been awarded in a few most prestigious design awards worldwide including RED DOT design award. For example the jury of core77 design award 2016 wrote us the feedback about the product which sounded like this: "Beautiful, and beautifully thought through. Apparently effective and essential, with low parts count and carry weight." Moreover, a lot of design blogs wrote the articles about the RAVEN scooter. For example, YANKODESIGN says:
"You’ve seen tonnes of portable conveyance systems, but none are as elegant as Raven here." or DESIGNBOOM was saying: "citybirds' 'raven' is like the iPhone of kick scooters." That was incredible motivation and inspiration for us to hear such a nice feedback!!!
We are truly grateful and happy to be a part of this amazing ecosystem and create the better routine for all the people around the world.

Finally, our present ambition is for the people throughout the world to change their approach to things that seem unchangeable and to turn hurrying into a pleasant and useful process. We really believe that we can change the approach to this new, simple and comfortable city vehicle. Lets change the world!

I took interest in design long ago, from my very early school years. Then I was just twelve years old and was a pupil at M.K.Čiurlionis Art School. After finishing the Art School, I entered Vilnius Art Academy and I studied industrial design. In the first year of my studies, I was already on practice in one of the leading advertising agencies Adell Taivas Ogilvy. There I learned about advertising business and graphical design. Afterwards I worked in other advertising agencies such as: Y&R Not Perfect, MILK, NEW, DADADA, BBDO Ukraine etc.
After graduating master studies from VAA where I have created PIGEON kick scooter. Together with my friends we have launched crowdfunding campaign on a Kickstarter, where PIGEON has been successfully funded. Last year I found investors from Switzerland who helped me to start mass production with PIGEON. Together with them we created a company called "Citybirds" that designs, develops and sells kick scooters for different city commuters- citybirds.

While making attempts not to stop at what has been achieved we do our best to show our clear position on the impact of ecology on human life. Therefore, we started developing four different ecological products, kick scooters for different target groups.
This year I graduated from the postgraduate industrial design studies in Vilnius Academy of Arts. I started to appreciate kick scooters as a compact eco-vehicle more and more. Therefore I connected two activities of my own company and studies to reach even better and deeper result using this idea as my graduation project.
It was absolutely amazing time, cause I finally realized what does it mean to create a real product, not only an idea, sketch, or CGI render but real scooter which would appear on a shop shelves whole around the world. The feeling is amazing. I have learned a lot new things from this amazing process, and now I understood that today design is not only a material you chose, shape or function you create, nevertheless it is super complex process which involves designer to become a part of marketing, physics, engineering, business, political or social movement, sustainability, advertising, environment etc. I am truly grateful and happy to be a part of this amazing ecosystem and create the better routine for all the people around the world.
