Amy Wallace was exploring the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Savannah, GA with some friends and decided to bring her camera along. A cemetery is a place that holds such sorrow and beauty and it's this contrast between death and life that interested Amy.

The inspiration for this project comes from my interest in exploring the world around me. I'm find beauty in nature and try my best to capture it. I look for color and texture for inspiration as well.

My style is constantly changing and evolving. At the moment I lean towards a minimalistic aesthetic with a pastel color palette. I tend to have an eerie/beautiful theme to a lot of my work but that changes over time. Truthfully, I get a lot of my inspiration from work I see on Pinterest and artists on Bechance and Instagram. I am inspired by music, color, photography, design and my surroundings. It's hard to name all of the artists I'm inspired by because there are so many, but a few are David Szauder, Krista Svalbonas, Jesse Draxler, Filip Hodas, Kyle Thompson, May Xiong, Remo Jacobs, Haru Wagnus and Gregory Euclide.

Do research. Go travel and explore. See what else is out there and try new techniques. Always continue to learn because what you enjoy creating will transform over time. I used a Cannon D7000 camera and for color edits on Photoshop. I'm new to photography and still exploring. I plan on investing in more equipment as soon as I can.
