Seven Summits by Riccardo Vicentelli
Our feature today is about the Seven Summits; the highest mountains of each of the seven continents. Let's take a look at this wonderful art and learn more about the seven highest peaks. Enjoy!
The "Seven Summits" project consists of 7 images (one for each mountain) plus a total image with all shades of blue. In order of height: Puncak Jaya for Oceania, Vinson for Antarctica, Elbrus for Europe, Kilimanjaro for Africa, Denali for North America, Aconcagua for South America and finally Everest for Asia.

The project comes from my great passion for the mountains. There are so many interesting things to discover and to learn about them. I have heard of the "Seven Summits" while watching a movie, the topic caught me immediately and I decided to learn more about. So I thought of designing posters to show everyone what are the highest mountains of each of the seven continents.

To complete the project, it took me a couple of days. I spent some time looking for the right images and to find the right shade of blue and I used Photoshop and Illustrator.

After discovering the "Seven Summits" I thought that I absolutely had to tell the world of their existence through design. I associated the cold of the mountain to the freshness of the blue. So I created 7 posters with 7 different shades, from the lightest blue to darker blue, respectively, in increasing order of the height of the mountains.
