Silk Teracotta by Arturo Akopov
Silk Terracotta was originally made for introduction in the magazine of one Russian company, called “ArtPole”. In which, the idea was to create wall panels from plastic, polymer and gypsum. Basically, the idea was to show panels inside living area with contrasting lights and colors.
Design for me is such a rewarding work, since it’s my hobby at the same time and there's endless possibilities in this profession of mine. There's also great incentive for new achievements. My inspiration for Silk Terracotta was my friend's big house windows. I don't know, but his windows gave me an idea and so I tried to incorporate it with my design.

I really like to work in neoclassic style, my inspirations are France and Spain, precisely Madrid. They're a beautiful places rich with culture and art. But, with his project I did it in freestyle, just modern with a little touch of retro. And of course, the artist who gave inspiration and motives to be better are Bertrand Benoit.

My advice to young/aspiring artists is that, do your best, never give up and don't be lazy. It's also important to think on each little detail. However small it is, I learned that it contributes a lot to the whole look of the project so it is really important to be keen on details. Don't forget to have fun and enjoy your work.
