Smash the Cake - David
David's mom would like to have photos to mark a special date. She asked for lots of directions and advice, I told her we would do a fun rehearsal and the most important thing was for the little prince to have fun, and I would record all of that.
David is really a prince and the balloons also say that (laughs). It was a rainy day, but I said, "Calm down, it'll all work out!" I did not want it to be boring, but to let it all happen naturally. And it was so natural that we even had an unexpected special participation of two ducklings.
I use only natural light, the day was cloudy and wonderful. I picked a place and let David have fun. I used the Nikon D610 with the Nikon 50mm f / 1.8G AF-S lens - my favorite lens. For post-production I used Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop (creative cloud).
Seeing this finished really easy and a happy family made me once more realize that less is more. It pays to bet on the naturalness of a picture, and to let it all truly flow. Just photograph with love that everything will work!
Hugs of light, Lory ♥
