This brand identity project was done for the Whitehall Football league, located in New Jersey, USA.
The client contacted me via Instagram, where he is a follower of mine and has seen my published designs.
All teams are happy with this new decision.
The idea and concept were born mainly thanks to the good knowledge of the client on the business and management of sports leagues.
The process was simple due to the fact that the client gave me a very detailed design brief on his vision for the leagues visual brand. He described the idea and concept he wanted to convey. He asked that I use neutral colors like black, gray and white to give it a touch of character and power.
The creative process used to develop this sports logo was as follows:
• Delivery of the Creative Brief, ideas and concepts by the client.
• Researching and finding references for the preparation of the rough drafts.
• For the vast majority of logos I make, I always start by making several drawn sketches. In this case the process was totally
digital, doing a direct scan of the referenced design.
• The software of preference used for this and other logo projects is Adobe Illustrator. It allows me to give stability and quality
in the delivery of the work.
I enjoyed working on this project and the client and all his collaborators were satisfied with the final result. It fulfilled the expectations and the vision that they hoped to give the league’s brand.
Thanks to the unique style that I am developing in the design of sports logos, my work is starting to become well known. With each project I acquire a new challenging experience.
I would like to take this opportunity to share a link for an awesome course/tutorial I took which aided me in the process of creating the sports logos. I hope it is as helpful to others as it was for me.
