Star Wars has been making a lot of buzz again because of the latest film of the franchise, "The Force Awakens", the seventh installment in the main Star Wars film series. The story is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Check out Meg Robichaud's conribution to the film.

This is my contribution to the CultureOfCult - through a set of themes, artists come together to help break down the high-brow stigma of art collectives and create a gallery of familiar content. It is a bi-annual exhibition celebrating the return of Star Wars to the big screen, "The Art of Force" opening on Nov 19.

I wanted to find a way to capture each of the characters across all of the movies, without illustrating the actual characters. I got a lot of inspiration from watching a lot of Star Wars. My style.. Pop culture line art, I suppose. Digital art? That thing I do to stay busy? I draw a lot of inspiration from vintage objects and labels, as well as (trying) to keep up with the changing landscape of design & tech.

If you know it's good, it's good. Go with your gut on these things, not like count. Don't be discouraged from pursuing a new style just because the internet didn't validate you. They were probably just busy that day. Keep at it and they'll catch up.
