I love working on personal project whenever I have a bit of free time. Last year I worked on a project called “The Ultimate Summer” which worked well so I decided to do something new this year. The idea was to bring the expression “sun’s out, guns out” to life. I had heard a few people saying and thought it would be fun to work on a series, changing “guns” to any other element linked to summer.

I love creating new characters, so I wanted each illustration to feature one. And I also really enjoy hand written typography, so these designs are just a mixture of the two.The summer in London has been pretty cold and grey overall, so this project was an excuse to create really vibrant and summery illustrations, to make up for the bad weather :) I love using really colourful palettes to bring my illustrations to life.

England has a really nice artistic vibe that I thrive on. It’s probably my biggest source of inspiration. I also love representing the woman body in all it’s forms. I would describe my style as pop and vibrant. At least that’s what I try to aim for every time.

Sometimes client work can be a bit frustrating and restricting your creativity, so just work on personal projects whenever you have the chance. Then you have no excuse for not creating what you wanted and you can elaborate your style a bit more every time.
