Back in June 2015, Lucas Film contacted Watson DG to create a custom Tumblr website, Interative Art Director Clément Pavageau narrated. The purpose of this website is to showcase art made by Star Wars fans. Submission was free and must be related to the Star Wars : The Force Awakens episode. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a 2015 American epic space opera film directed, co-produced, and co-written by J. J. Abrams. It was a movie every Star Wars fan have been waiting for. Not only that it took 30 years for the seventh installment in the main Star Wars film series to be released, it was well-anticipated because of the new characters. Our featured artist, Anthony, gave his contribution to the Star Wars fans through a show entitled Art Awakens in Gallery 1988, Los Angeles, last November 14th and 15th. Canada based illustrator Marie Bergeron has caught the hype. The hype that is The Star Wars: The Force Awakens aka the most awaited Star Wars film for years. The movie was set three decades after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, a new threat arises. The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and only a ragtag group of heroes can stop them, along with the help of the Resistance.

Star Wars Imperial Soldiers by Yuri Krasnoshchok

The force is strong with this one! The much awaited new movie from the Star Wars franchise, The Force Awakens premiered in Los Angeles on December 14, 2015, and is scheduled to be released on December 18, 2015, in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D. Israel based graphic designer Yuri Krasnoshchok is not much of a fan of Star Wars but because of all the noise and the buzz it has been creating, Yuri decided to pay a tribute to the Star Wars.
