Visual identity for Taquitos Bandidos, a small fast food restaurant located in Zagreb, Croatia, that offers Mexican food inside of colorful ambient filled with various details. The idea was to make funny and colorful visuals that will represent Mexican style and climate in a playful style.

Owners of the restaurant are good friends of mine, and they came up with the name and general idea for the visual for which they wanted to
include a few characters portrayed as taquito bandits, which i found very interesting and fun to do. I chosed style that would fit with my workflow, and could later be easily adapted to various purposes, but at the same time to stand out and to look eye catching.

For the logo i used software called Xara, which is very light and user friendly program that i use most of the time when creating logos or vector illustrations. The logo for Taqutos Bandidos changed quite a bit during process of creating sketches for it, and since the name was changed in the end from Bandidos Taquitos to Taquitos Bandidos.

The taquito characters was created and painted in Photoshop, and during process they were also changed and modified several times. Main idea while creating them was to make them look likeable and funny, forming their bodies into the shape of taquitos/rolled tortilla slices.
Taquito characters for now are used in advertising and print materials, and it is planned to maybe create short comics that would at the same time be the Facebook ads and such.

This is one of my favorite projects so far, and people really loved it, but most importantly my friends who owns the restaurant really love it and that's what makes me even happier. This was just one of those projects where you have all the freedom while creating and i think that is a win-win situation in the end of the day.

Besides designing and illustrating i also did a lot of photo retouching and editing for the food pictures that needed to appear in the visuals for the flyers, menu and web, so that was also challenging and fun, since i wanted the food to be placed in same perspective, so i could easily rearrange them for different purposes later.
