Karina Mecca's project, "The Holiday" was actually made for her final project in fashion photography short course held by Nicoline Patricia, one of the most renowned fashion photographer in Indonesia. They were given a specific theme for the project and the theme was Christmas. In the class she learned about how to do a fashion photo shoot more professionally, so she was trying to make this final project just like a professional ones usually do.

The inspiration of this project is a movie called The Holiday which is about Christmas. I wanted it to look relaxed, simple and all white. Because it was for a fashion photography project, the clothes and the make up were also the important elements that had to be seen in the photographs. The photoshoot itself was very spontaneous, I'm glad I had the best team. I can't think of any specific style with my works. It's always been changing through my experiences in life, the people I met, books, music and movies, buildings and nature. I embrace the mess and the beautiful side of the city I live in, and the places I travel to.

To always create and share. It doesn't important if sometimes your work is far from perfect because it's a process, and you can always learn from your own experience doing it. Ideas and inspirations are everywhere, the platforms to share your works in this era is more than enough, so there's no excuse not to create and share right now. I am currently using Sony Alpha 7ii, and in LOVE with it. For the lens I often use Carl Zeiss 24-70mm and sometimes my old Canon 50mm with an adaptor for some works. I use adobe photoshop for the post production.
