The Lost Sloth by Deborah Grandinetti
Who could resist a cute sloth? During Deborah 'Bee' Grandinetti's internship at Animade, she was teamed up with another intern, Max Stoiber (a developer from the interactive department) to come up with an interactive toy in about 2 weeks. The Lost Sloth was born from that intern jam.
The design process was so open! So I basically did what I wanted to do, no client expectations. I went for some reference pictures for NY building facades, but that was all. Just kept in mind that I wanted it to be playful, stupid and fun.

What is your inspiration behind the project?
Where's Wally, of course! I spent so many hours of my childhood worshiping those books :)

With regards to my style, I would say I tend to go colorful and playful on my choices. It definitely has a happy tone to it. But woof, so hard with the inspirations! So many amazing people I admire out there. I absolutely love everything about Gemma Correll. Charles Huettner and Jorge Canedo are animation killers. I have a fun time following how edgy and disturbing Joan Cornellà can be. David O'Reilly also applies to that. Ok, this is hard, I could go on this forever.

Try to understand what defines you and your personally and apply that to your work. It's gonna feel and look way more honest, beautiful and true-hearted :)

About Deborah Grandinetti
Deborah 'Bee' Grandinetti grew up in Belo Horizonte, in Brazil, where she studied graphic design for 4 years at UEMG. She graduated in 2011, and moved to São Paulo, where she worked as a designer for 1 year and a half at Box1824, a research bureau in trends, behavior, and innovation. It was pretty awesome, but she felt she had enough of designing massive keynote presentations and decided it was time to give her motion fling a proper chance. Packed her stuff and went to Sweden in 2013 to study motion graphics at Hyper Island for a year. After that, had a lovely internship with the guys from Brikk, in Stockholm. Then, came to London and had two more great internships at BlinkInk and Animade. Been happily freelancing ever since. You can check her latest work on her Behance and Dribbble. See more of her work on Behance.
Very nice! The little sloth is so cute. The animations fit, what I think would be, the personality of the sloth as well. So neat.
