The Road to the Picnic
I love drawing different types of characters, each with its own peculiarities. In these illustrations, I had fun telling three very different brothers, on a pleasant day, with the mother who knows how to make every moment special. The guest is a fox who despite the fear approaches to eat. The three brothers approach with the fox in different ways, there are those who draw it, those who observe it through a mirror and those who hide behind their mother. Everything ends with a beautiful evening and the desire to make a wish under the stars.
This project was born from a challenge on Instagram. I really like to participate in the challenges, it’s nice to see how different ideas can be developed on the same theme. My illustrations are for a childish audience so I always try to experiment with a drawing, free and spontaneous like that of children. With color I do the same thing, I study the palette a lot and I try to get the same result that I got with the drawing.
To make this illustration I used Photoshop. Usually, I always use the same brushes for both pencils and color so as not to waste too much time looking for different brushes and to give my illustrations recognizability.
This project showed me the way to go. I got a lot of positive feedback and work proposals that materialized. I also got a recognition for Behance that I really care about, so I learned a lot from this project.
