Alessio Pompadura's project is for "Tony Ross Salon", a new hair salon located in Perugia (Italy) directed by the hairstylist Renato Renzini. They asked him to create a strong, modern but elegant brand identity for its opening in town. The goal was not to design a simple hairdresser logo, but to develop a dynamic brand that don't have any problem in case of others (future) industry declinations.



The identity development starts from its logo creation. The concept of the logo is based on a solid, geometric rigidity that characterizes and defines its look: a look shaped through the research of a perfect harmony among the elements composing it. To make it more recognizable was made a further design work on the two letters O. A simple logo, essential in its form and in its meaning / message. I used a Fedrigoni Sirio White White paper 300gr for the stationery elements and I chose a Pantone Black U as main color which it combines perfectly with the general aesthetic look of the salon.

To start the project I use as always paper and pencil, sketching from scratch the first ideas. Then I move to Illustrator to refine the best selected ideas. I use also Photoshop to do a good photo postproduction to give an harmonious tone and look to all of the shots done.

After I published the project I received many and very good feedbacks to the other people. It was great because this was a very special project for me, where I enjoyed a lot thanks to the fantastic collaboration of the extravagant client.

Alessio Pompadura is a 26-year-old Graphic designer and Illustrator based in Perugia (Italy) but also a tireless traveler. He is focused on Branding, Illustration and Editorial. Alessio is currently work at studio Gusto IDS but in his free time he do some experimental and personal project under his personal brand Kosmog.
