Tote is a Baby Stroller inspired by the flower Jade Vine. The attributes for inspiration being, its growth and how the flower blooms with three petals and changes its form. which when incorporated in the form could convert it into a car seat; Bio luminescence, the flower glows at night to stand out from its environment in order to attract pollinators. This attribute of Jade vine was then used as a safety measure during evening walks by adding radium to the body, as it would charge during the morning walks and glow during the evening walks.

This was a classroom project and the brief was to get inspiration from the nature, study it and incorporate it in a product by enhancing its form or functionality. Nature finds its own way to solve its problems, the form follows the function & every organism has its own characteristics & method of dealing with them.
Here, I was inspired by the flower Jade Vine, whose attributes connected perfectly to enhance the form and function of a baby stroller. Tote follows a design language which represents its user group, babies, through its form & color palette.

It is very important to visualize your ideas in 3D, which starts with scribbling it out on a paper, but for a clearer picture 3D software are of a great help. Here I used Solidworks to make the 3D model, which was then rendered in Keyshot.

The project was appreciated for its ability to blend in the inspiration and the change in the form for functionality. The learning being how design can help enhance a product & make it stand out from others even after following the product semantics.
