Most of us dread deadlines, I mean who wouldn't right? - whether it's for work, school or other projects. For everyone who knows how to be 'under pressure', we can all relate to Cristian Mendoza's 'Under Pressure' a series of posters which shows us the monsters behind the dreaded deadline.

My project "under pressure" captures the terrifying sensation that occurs when approaching a deadline. As time passes pressure increases and the monsters that lurks in us grow stature becoming threatening. I guess everyone has their own monsters (maybe a boss, haha). Anyway, these are some creatures that inhabit my mind.

Exploring different techniques on the web, I found this interesting digital art 3D based editing of voxels (equivalent to 2D pixel, is the minimum cubic unit which comprehends a three-dimensional object). This turned out to be fun to apply to my projects. So, I figured I would make some of this.

I think it's very important to be not typecast into one style or technique or get stuck in style. I try to keep my curiosity alive, in constant motion, without labels that blind creativity. I believe the richness of an artist lays in the search of various experiences that contribute to personal grown.

  1. Great art! Which software did you use to create the voxel process? We've had a project for MineCraft before and we literally had to model the figure from scratch to create a 3D pixel effect. Good job!
