The aim with this project was to practice a holistic product approach where I created a fictional brand that focus on VR goggles. Since the VR market segment is on the rising, I found it relevant to create a brand within this segment. The result is a brand that combines a contemporary design language with minimalism through both hardware and software.

I got the idea a couple of months ago. I thought it would be a great practice since this approach is what really drives me as a Product Designer; not only focusing on the actual product. I find the whole product experience much more interesting.

The tools that I used for this project were SolidWorks (3D), Keyshot (renders), Sketchbook Pro and Adobe CC. Also hand sketching. It was a pretty straight forward process where I started with some initial hand sketches that were followed up with a couple of more detailed development sketches (digital). The CAD phase kicked off when I felt that the concept was enough defined.

So far it's been positive! Yes, mostly stuff in SolidWorks but also in a wider perspective regarding finding the right proportions in a specific design. Also a few things in Keyshot when it comes to creating customized textures and finishes etc.
