From the architect Takuro Yamamoto, "White Cave House" is a massive lump engraved by a series of voids interconnected in the shape of a kinked tube. The connection of voids is the theme of this house. Internal rooms are designed to enjoy the minimum views of Cave characterized by its whiteness. At the same time, this concept is also the practical solution to realize a courtyard house in Kanazawa city known for heavy snow in Japan.

After i finished "Victor Brecherat’s old home" project (you can find it here) I was looking for another minimal simple interior to concentrate on my lighting and shading skills, it's really great to work on your personal projects in your free time to practice and overcome your problems especially in this field that everything is changing every day.

I used 3dsmax for modeling as usual,Vray for rendering and Photoshop for post-production. Well, there isn't much to say how i did this project, the basic modeling was so simple, I used a blueprint (found on archdaily) to model the house using poly modeling, and for the assets I mostly used from my own library. For the shrub i used Growfx and all the fabrics was made with Marvelous designer. I also used Zbrush for extra details, all the raindrops were scattered by Forest Pack using density map applied on glass plates. For lighting, I only used one of my own Hdri and some soft boxes here and there.

Although I'm not satisfied with the result but it was a great experience trying new settings and reducing the render time while keeping the quality high.As you all may know, dealing with noise in Vray could be a big challenge. Well, I received some nice comments about the project, and i think people liked it.
