Women:Uncovered
Women:Uncovered is an article for a magazine about women. It was about the different personalities of women and their mysterious ways of facing everyday challenges using their instincts. I was asked to create illustrations that will show these personalities with an idea of uncovering.
I came up with the idea of women coming out of the shadows and showing a part of them. The illustration visually represents what the article is all about. I describe my illustrative style as minimalist and clean using limited palette which perfectly fits the idea.
Everything starts from a pencil and a paper where I map out my ideas. After, I make sketches that will be the foundation of the final artwork. Then, the sketches will be scanned to be ready for the digital production. I usually use Adobe Illustrator for my works including "Women:Uncovered".
When I was creating the illustrations I wanted people to feel that every character talks to them and telling them a part of themselves. People felt that the illustrations showed the idea of the article clearly and every part of it was drawing them listen to them which perfectly captures what i wanted to communicate. I was told that they love the minimalist style and every artwork are so eye-catching that they wanted it to be printed.
