Today's feature is all about photographs that are created from the artist's passion for analog photography. Let us take a look and be inspired by Cristiana Costin's works. Enjoy!
The Combinophy project evolved from my passion for analog photography, a hobby which I have been feeding for a few years now. What I love most about this type of photography is the granulation and the overall vintage effect.

The project is a personal one, I did it for myself and it started as a game in which I tried to combine those old-school features of analog photography with the new digital vibe, the minimal stroke, the pure colour (opposites attract, right?). I used this rule in order to create a powerful contrast between the old and the new, between a realistic view of the reality (the photography) and a minimal, iconic one (the illustration).

A photography tells a certain story, but, like a little God, I want to change that story, to mix it, to develop a new one and to make the viewer think and notice what was there before and after.

The hardest part is finding the idea, the missing element. The way I made them is pretty simple, I add a new layer with some vector strokes over the photography. I try not to edit the images at all because I want to preserve that vintage, realistic feel. Also, it is difficult to stop sometimes but I always remember that less is more.
