Curitiba Posters by Maycon Prasniewski

Curitiba is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of ParanĂ¡. It is an important cultural, political, and economic centre in Latin America. Maycon Prasniewski's latest project is all about Curitiba.

My idea was to portray the historical and cultural scenarios of Curitiba but not exactly reproducing them faithfully like the picture but basically keeping the main characteristics that define them, making them more playful. On the technical side, used the flat style, the foundation of the illustrations are all geometric, but the finish (shades / textures / high light / reflections) did freehand to give a more humanistic touch to work.

The idea of developing the posters came when a real estate agent asked me to develop a material to enhance the region where their homes were located, as a solution my proposal was to illustrate places of Curitiba in order to show the historical and cultural value that is back who moves to the city.

My inspirations are the city of Curitiba and your great cultural diversity and the masters of renaissance, always before start a new project I look on my paint archives and books.
With regards to my style - it's very simple and direct, like someone trying to find a way to pass a relevant message through design, using the device for aesthetics to get the viewer's attention, every stroke that drawing is a message I want to pass.

My inspirations are always related to art history and the particular world that each new project presents me. Do your best and then do better, it is natural that always seek to do each job seeking perfection, but on the other hand, we sometimes leave many good side ideas by running into technical aspects, make, make the thoughts distorted into something to be shared with everyone, not just think.
