Playing Cards are believed to have originated in China and then spread to India and Persia. From Persia they are believed to have spread to Egypt during the era of Mamluk control, and from there into Europe through both the Italian and Iberian peninsulas in the second half of the 14th century. "Deck of Cards" by Rosana Segura Garavito is a series of illustration depicting the characters in playing cards. The series includes illustrations of the king, queen, and the joker. Deck of Cards is a personal project that I have been working on my spare time, the idea came to me when I was thinking about classic games. I just want to have fun and test myself in a different technique, in this case, digital illustration.
