Elaìa

Elaìa

In the ancient times, during the most sacred ceremonies the priest used only one fruit
to celebrate the Gods: Elaìa. Nowadays we call that fruit olive and that is where the name of this precious oil comes from.
And this is how the whole project started.

Elaìa is a concept brand for a luxury company specialized in product made of olive oil and its derivates.

Ancient oil press were amazing machines made of round heavy stones, but I decided that, while the circular pattern was perfect for a logo, its heaviness was not ideal to deliver the brand identity.
That’s why the outside layer of the press is now made of olive leaves.

At first I started with a web search to better understand the world of olive oil companies.
After that I quicky made some sketches and in the end I drew the final concept using Illustrator. After that I created some mockups with Photoshop.

The Behance community loved my work and I got featured at AIGA, the professional association for design. I'm very happy for the results and for all of the feedback that I've received. For me this is the best motivation to continue to improve my skills and my projects. I owe all of this to my followers and friends that constantly support me and my projects
