French Toast by Daria Khoroshavina

Remember those moving portraits in Harry Potter? Well, cinemagraphs is just like that. Cinemagraphs are still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs. They are published in either animated GIF format or as video, can give the illusion that the viewer is watching a video. Now, let's see Daria's fascianting project cinemagraph 'French Toast'.

This project is a relatively new favourite of mine, I was just experimanting with cinemagraphs and decided to combine them with food photography. It was a new and challenging project for me, so I'm very happy with how it turned out.

With this project, I was just really just experimenting, I spend a lot of time trying new things.I was inspired by the cinemagraphs that I saw and loved the effect they produce on a viewer so I decided to do something of the sort, that would make people watch my images for hours!

I'd like my style to be seen as relaxed and simplistic, reflecting the idea of slow living and being closer to nature. Also I don't mind if they're a bit creepy and disturbing sometimes, I like the quirkiness of the headless shots with slow movement.

The only advice I can give is: don't try to follow someone else's success story, everyone has their own way you just have to find yours (learned that the hard way), also, do things at your own pace and don't be afraid taking a time off, step back and search for inspiration.
