Halcyon is a men fashion brand that specializes in tailoring suits by seasons. The focus of this project is creating a logo that has 4 variants for 4 seasons while keeping the unity among them. The art direction needs to bring out the essence of Halcyon, classy but not old-fashion, elegant but not feminine, concrete but not bulky.
First, I research about suits, there are many kinds of suit. However, Halcyon focuses on classy ones, so I go around the city and see, I also research online to find the right feel for the brand. Shutterstock is a great resource since I can get access to many good photographs that portraits the feel I need. After gathering enough materials, I started sketching ideas. Keeping that in mind, many sketches had been done, which are refined and minimized at the end of the process.
When I had the main logo, I could then develop it into 4 other variants which represent 4 seasons: seed for spring, beach for summer, leaf for autumn and dry tree for winter.

People seem to love the project, my profile is more active than ever. What I learn from this project is working like a professional, from the very beginning to the very end of the project, needs to be consistent.

Eldur Ta is a 20 year-old student at RMIT University, South Saigon Vietnam. He's very interested in graphic design, the main focus is branding and art direction.
