Lucia Mishquila Brichta by Santiago Balán

Lucia Mishquila Brichta is a young jewelry designer in Buenos Aires. The main characteristic of her work is: the production of handmade rubber jewelery, which creates a certain particularity in the morphology of her products. Based on this study, Santiago Balán came up with an open system of identity, adaptable to the different communication needs of the brand.

The challenge was to create a global language that identifies the designer´s style and makes it functional and practical. Such a system that will not use the resources up for further development. This language emerged from the predominant morphology in her products. From these bases, a system of forms is created, which allows to generate different pieces according to the needs communication. It leaves the game open to many variables of use, without losing identification with the brand. So much so that it´s possible to design from pieces of stationery to advertising with the same procedures, generating new pieces with their particularity, but always within the identification system.

The inspiration to graphically translate a visual identity universe was the study and the apportion of the predominant forms and particular features in the brand products.

I don´t think I have a particular style. I consider that each project has its own style. I do recognize that generally I follow certain patterns, such as: graphic synthesis, resources economy and the typographical particularity in each project..

To work hard, to be aware of every detail and to study the works of the best designers. To find out which each designer´s resolutions have been. To be curious and never give up. To believe that there is always something else to learn. I think that all these things naturally come up if you really love what you do.
