This project by Daniel Barbra is his personal branding project for Monotypo studio, a design & visual communication company from Guadalajara México. They wanted to make the union between papers & design, specifically black & metallic cooper. The logo represents the force to start a new project, the build, one of the first churches in United States, founded by Pilgrim Fathers in America signifies every beginning of a great project.

All process have a method, experience, research, creativity, in layouts and font. We found the book Layout/Grids by Josef Muller Brockmann very useful, it has a lot of inspiring design. Nordic design & the work of graphic designers who we admire a lot were a great source of inspiration. Saul Bass in his beginning career and Josef Muller Brockmann. We get a lot of inspiration from history too. I think every designer should look around their environment, philosophy, history, art, mathematics, biology, not only design.

I would say that is eclectic, I like to take references from everything that has shaped us as human beings, from history, philosophy, theology, science and passion for the job.
My influences, the ancient cultures, specifically, Japan, Mexican civilizations, Jewish & renaissance art, but also the artistic avant-garde too.
