This images where created for a design proposal of a toll plaza renovation, the design was developed by Arquitectura e interiores S.A.S in Bogota, Colombia. The client wanted to have a more visually attractive building, with more space for cars, screens and branding. I developed the visuals in a very short time. I wanted to reflect the impact that the architecture would have in a car driver or a walk by passer, also the movement / speed as an element that is part of the dynamics that are inherent to the space.

The design proposal was trying to give a little warm and hierarchy to a space that the most of the time is unnoticed. To achieve it the use of the wood was essential, and to emphasize that gesture all the structure was painted in black.

The initial challenge was to recreate in the 3d software the existing conditions of the building without any blueprints or measure references, so in order to achieve the modeling phase I had to rely on satellite images and the google street view tool, I did a pre- sizing based on the people and vehicles that appeared there, and then I started to model all the elements almost by intuition.

As a project developed in such a short time (1 week) and without too much information, I learned that the most important part when you start a design process is to have a clear concept, with that defined, you just have to start working.
