This project was inspired by poetry of Joseph Brodsky:
"nothing is worse than the ruins
that no longer seem like a metaphor
and become what they were once:
houses".

This project is part of a series of my photo projects in which I explore the topic of loneliness.
I shot it in a suburb of Moscow, in Russia
Models are not professional models. They are ordinary people who were interested in experimenting

This project is part of a series of my photo projects in which I explore the topic of loneliness.

Once I drove past an abandoned and burned-out lonely house in the field and with my inner eyes saw the metaphor of the ruins that Brodsky wrote about.

I used only the Nikon camera and my imagination.
There are no retouching and Photoshop effects in this work, except for translation into black and white
The shooting took place on a cloudy day when the sun suddenly gave way to wet snow and rain
Models bravely withstood weather conditions, I am grateful to them for their participation

this project responds to people with their inner experiences of breaking down relationships, turning feelings of home into ruins when the ruins of relationships become home to life
it’s especially interesting to know that each viewer sees something different in the images
Reflecting feedback and experience gained, I advance in my work
