The new Star Wars movie The Force Awakens turned out to be a success and a fan favorite. The Force Awakens is set about 30 years after Return of the Jedi; it follows Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron's search for Luke Skywalker and their fight alongside the Resistance, led by veterans of the Rebel Alliance, against Kylo Ren and the First Order, successor to the Galactic Empire. Artist Daria Artemieva was inspired by the movie and decided to make a fanart for the film.

I made this project after being inspired by the new Starwars movie, it was amazing! The actors are awesome, the light, the soundtracks,the plot and basically everything. I came up with the design trying to make a cartoon out of real people, my inspiration is Disney style, I like to depict people really simple, and refrain from using a lot of shades or lights.

I always try to find inspiration around me : there are so many beautiful people! I have lots of ideas to paint! When I’m watching movies, reading books, walking at the street, so many things can be an inspiration for my doodles! I can advise to my fellow artists not to wait for a muse! Creativity is a hard work! Do sketches everyday! Practice is your best friend! And always try to do your best in your paintings, it really means a lot when you put a peace of your heart and soul into your work :)

Daria Artemieva is a 22 year old student from Kiev, Ukraine. She moved to Kiev four years ago to study from Krivoy Rog. She study graphic design in the University, this year she'll be defending her Bachelor’s degree. The theme of her Diploma work is Illustration of the children book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone". She also work as an illustrator in a Production studio, making storyboards for advertising and videos.
