Uncover the Truth by Fabio Pantoja

Coca-Cola is a carbonated soft drink that is produced by The Coca-Cola Company. It is also famously called Coke, worldwide. Over the years, there are many articles and medical studies regarding the effect of soft drinks on our body. Let's take a look at this art set and uncover the secrets of the "happiness in a bottle".

I made this project to myself, one afternoon I was reflecting about the insane amount of sugar I take everyday to keep myself awake and productive (sad to say it), whether is drinking coffee or Coca-Cola. Then I started reading about the internal organs that are affected by this infamous drink, and it hit me. I wanted to create something that would immediately make you reflect clearly about the affected areas damaged by this drink, and what better way to portrait display it in its own logo.

It took me about me about 4 to 5 hours to complete it, between two days. I usually start drawing directly to the computer, when I am inspired or excited about some illustration, I skip the doodling part, I just want to get it out of my system ASAP before it disappears in my head. I designed it in Adobe Illustrator.

The meaning behind is pretty clear, I wanted it to be as direct as possible, like I said in the description, More than a critic to CocaCola, it's a critic to myself, to see if I can finally stop drinking this poison once and for all!

There was a huge famous Coca-Cola’s campaign made for Latin-American in 2014 I think, it was called “Destapa la Felicidad” (Uncover the Happiness), in my title I named it “Uncover the Truth” as a way to expose the real thing about Coca Cola. Which has nothing to do with a perfect ideal of joy or state of mind or emotion, but with diseases, real disease such as diabetes or high blood pressure that can affect real organs in our body.
