2b // Bio & Beauty by Maurizio Pagnozzi

Maurizio Pagnozzi

2B (Bio & Beauty) by Maurizio Pagnozzi is a company that creates products used in manual micro-dermabration. According 2B, the use of their product eliminates superficial skin blemishes and produces a young and radiant look. The idea of the logo is to showcase 2B as a symbol taken from both starting letters of Bio and Beauty. The same turquoise color from the main symbol is used on the starting letters which provides a more clear view concerning the idea of the logo.

The main inspiration is derived from the name. Since the beginning the idea was to design a monogram. The logo design uses simple shapes like the circle. The circles are also used as a pattern for the corporate image. The product is destined to men and women. The colors used in the logo are gray and cyan. Visually, the cyan is intended for women and gray for men.

I could define my style clean and essential, but not devoid of meaning and contents. My aim is always to create works that combines concepts with strong functional and solid executions. I have tried to achieve this from the beginning of my career, which began two years ago and I have tried over time to fine tune this technique.
-Maurizio Pagnozzi

I have extensively studied the Bauhaus, but the designers who have inspired me the most are Bob Noorda and Massimo Vignelli. As Italian designer I have always enjoyed their work in branding, some of their projects have always been in front of me since I was a child. They formed my taste without my noticing. Also I love the art of Paul Rand and among the designers living I love the style of Stefan Sagmeister.

My advice is to keep studying. Never think that you have reached perfection. Always have the doubt that you can do better. Learn from the defeats and be always positive.
