Underwater photography can be one of the most trickiest and hardest types of photography as it requires you to prepare carefully. From the lights you're going to use (if you're using one), the models and most especially your gear. You have to make sure that they are all sealed properly. With Andre's Aquatica - a series of photographs focusing on the movement of synchronized swimmers - Thafnnys & Mylka.
Aquatica is the name of a pool in Rio where most synchronized swimmers train. I shoot them - synchronized swimmer athlete using natural and artificial light. The inspiration came from the movements of the synchronized swimming, the movements are so balanced and perfect. I find it amazing as Synchronized swimming combines elements of swimming, dance, and gymnastics.

Synchronized swimmers also develop specialized water skills, strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry, timing, and teamwork. I used a Sony alpha 99 camera, an old Minolta 20mm 2.8 lens, and a marine case. Also, I used some continuous light to from outside of the pool to make the models more notable.

Maybe I`m not the perfect person for advice in photography, but I think we all should shoot more and bring a camera by our side all the time. I find that taking pictures everyday enhances our skills. It is also important because you'll never know when you're gonna need your camera.
