Bodegas Pomar is a leader in the development of Venezuelan excellent wines, from grapes harvested fresh in the commercial vineyards planted in the country. This feature is the result of a planted with effort, determination and patience that allows you worthily represent our country in the most important wine competitions in the world history. Bodegas Pomar is a Venezuelan wine cellar that belongs to Empresas Polar. Bodegas Pomar is dedicated to produce wine, sangria and sparkling wines. It was founded in 1985 by Empresas Polar and Casa Martell in France. It was the first wine cellar a commercial scale in Venezuela. The vineyards are located in Lara, Venezuela. Carora was selected as the ideal place to cultivate grapevines because the place possesses the best ground and climate to grow grapes. Bodegas Pomar is now the only wine cellar in Venezuela. They have an amazing products portfolio with different kinds of wines, Varietales being the best one.

This campaing had two goals. One of them was to introduce the new image of Varietales wine of Bodegas Pomar and the other to educate the people about pairing different types of foods with wine. Carlos and his work team considered that the best way to show this was using the wine cup as the middle point between tasting food and wine as the perfect companion.

All the photographies were made with real food, which were placed the form of a wine glass. The photographies were made by Claudio Napolitano with a Hasselblad Family's Camera. All the retouch was made by José "Moncho" Guerrero under Carlos Garcia's supervision. Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Cs6 were the two software which were used to create the final product.

About Lucho García

Carlos Garcia (called Lucho by friends) is a graphic designer, he studied at the Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Rodolfo Loero Arismendi in Caracas, Venezuela. He started his career in the advertising world in 2009 as Art Assistant at Fumanchu, a small agency in Caracas. After he decided set about his own brand named Yacadesign. In 2012, he was back to the advertising world as a Junior Art Director at La Cancha, when he was working there he was convened to participate in Lado B exposition, in witch the participants use art as language and not as an advertising exposure. One of his posters was selected and for this reason he was called to work at 141 Coimbra WorldWide, one agency of the WPP Group. At 141 Coimbra, he achieved his first ANDA (Venezuela's National Association of Advertisers) award with a social campaign for FundaTecho, he helped and participated creating the whole concept for that campaign. In 2014 he won another two awards (bronze and gold) with a campaing about Varietales wine from Bodegas Pomar. Carlos has worked with differents brands as Mattel, Solera, Bodegas Pomar, Digitel, Directv GM, Bigott Fundation, Fundana and more. He is passionate about typography and making posters.
