Dealema.pt is a website created by web designer Pedro Bernardino for a popular Portuguese Hip-Hop band. A band that he's a fan since he was a teenager… so this was a very special project for him. It basically puts together in one place, all the information about the band: pictures, biography, discography, events… and it also has an online shop. All the website is powered by a administration area, where the band managers can handle every info that is displayed to the visitors.

The design process was very straightforward. The band works with an amazing photographer (Deck97)… So I had a lot of great material at my hands since the day one. The pictures triggered everything else! Then I just tried to keep it simple, clean, and focused on the band content.

I usually don't like to compare my work to anyone else’s. Honestly I never did this exercise... the creative field is so subjective… So I would prefer to skip this question… :P

I don’t think I have a style. And I don’t think I should have one! I’m a web designer, so I should be able to adapt myself, and give each project what it needs. The project dictates my style... and gladly I’ve been having the opportunity to work for a wide range of audiences.

My advice to aspiring artists… an all time classic: Love what you do! Webdesign isn’t that kind of job that you can do without being motivated. And you can’t keep yourself constantly motivated if you don’t love what you are doing! if that’s the case, you are on the wrong job. Another important thing is to get out from the conform zone. It can be intimidating, but it’s important to work on areas that you aren’t an expert. It’s the effective way that I know to develop our skills.
