Landyachtz // New Graphics by Andreas Preis

The board with the owl was in fact originally a personal project. Andreas Preis hand-painted a deck with
some fine liners and acrylics just for fun and put it online. Landyachtz liked it so much, they asked
him to create a printable file out of it. You can find more about it in the Work-In-Progress section.

When I was little, I always told my parents, I wanted to be a »painter without a boss«, so that
somehow worked out I guess. I studied communications design because I only knew I wanted
to do something where I could be visually creative. After an internship and some working in a
big advertising agency, I started to really focus on illustration and I still believe it was a good idea.

About Andreas Preis

Andreas Preis is a designer, illustrator & artist, currently living and working Berlin.

Being born deep in the Bavarian Forest in the south of Germany in 1984, he soon discovered
his weakness for drawing and colors. After planning to become a »painter without a boss«
since he was about 5 years old, he decided to study communications design in Nuremberg.
He graduated from Georg-Simon-Ohm University with a diploma in 2009.

His skill set includes illustration, drawing and live paintings as well as the different areas of
traditional communications design like typography, logo design, icon design, story boarding etc.

During the last years he's worked with a variety of clients, including Adidas, Atomic, Coke,
Coors, DC Comics, ESPN, Ford, Jung von Matt, Landyachtz, MINI, NAF NAF, New Scientist,
Nike, o2, Ogilvy, Springer & Jacoby, TBWA, Tetrapak, TNT Netherlands, Vans etc... You can find more of his work on Behance.
