All hail to the royal babies! Photographer Pedro Dimitrow's project 'Royal Babies' shows three babies/toddlers in all their glory. So, get ready to give your respect to the Royal Babies. Let's see the adorable images!

This project was very specific because of its huge complexity - you see we're working with babies. Before we proceed with the shoot, we study a lot many ways to see how we wanna to do the shooting and what we want for… The Art Director sent us a huge folder with kings and queens references so we can discuss about it and the stylist could do the dressing code.

The inspiration behind the project was Kings and Queens who rule their worlds, so that they can rule their mamas, the references was "The Crazy Queen", "The African King" and "The Classical King".

I pass a long time doing assistance for some of the great advertising and editorial photographers of my country, all this time we worked with film cameras and when digital photography came we shifted to it. This let me be comfortable to walk on several styles of photography. My inspirations are great photographers from the past and movies.

Study a lot see different things, and don't be afraid to make a mistake... sometimes when you're afraid, the real result never come. I used a Hasselblad 503 CW with 60 mm Carl Zeiss lenses and a digital back Phase One IQ80 for this project.

About Pedro Dimitrow

Pedro Dimitrow started to work with advertising campaigns as a producer for cinema in 1997, after that he moved to still life as a photographer's assistant in 2000. In 2005 Pedro opened his own studio and started to work with big brands like mobile phone companies, banks, cars and other kind.
