Art4Web were directly contacted by the Europlac IT manager, who was in charge to chose an appropriate company for their website redesign. Europlac is a German-Slovak company. The headquarters is in Tettnang, Germany where all the engineering is done. And whole production activities are based in Topoľčany, Slovakia.

Our assessment was to create a complex website with modern content management system. It was very essential to provide them a modern website which is easy to understand also for laymen. Moreover, it had to provide important order information to already existing clients. We integrated these information into the website by a client account and made life easier at business department. They had to make many calls daily to give their customers an order report. Now, do don’t have to. All is available there via track your order function.

The biggest problem and challenge at once was the old website structure. The structure itself was very complicated with many levels and some important information were hidden very deep. We had to make a deep analysis to find out what we can do and what we must do. Some information were merged, other were deleted, shifted to another subpage, brought forward or backward, according to their importance.

Design had to be elegant, simple and had to represent Europlac’s visions and beliefs. For me, production process (animated infographics) is a very interesting element of the website. We had to keep in mind, that this website is very rich in text and content and had to adopt design accordingly.

Design is slightly inspired by material design from google, but on the other hand it was carefully custom prepared according to Europlac’s corporate identity. We put a strong emphasize on wood species pictures, which are very important for (future) clients.

The style is minimalistic, simple and supports client’s CI.
