Museum of Tomorrow | 明日美术馆 by Tianhua Mao
Museum of Tomorrow (MOT) is a fake museum New York based Illustrator/Graphic Designer Tianhua Mao made up. She designed the building, the show and also the viewers. This series illustration is her personal work. Tianhua made it after she graduated from school. She was confused and upset about her career at that time.
I guess most artists have an ambitious dream that one day they could hold a solo show in some noble art museum. So do I. I imagined and illustrated Museum of Tomorrow (MOT) to realize my dream in a way. It’s a black humor and a self-mockery. The name of Museum of Tomorrow (MOT) is from TODAY ART MUSEUM, a contemporary art museum in Beijing. I went there a lot when I was an undergraduate student.

We all live for today, and “tomorrow” is just a concept in people’s imagination. So Museum of Tomorrow (MOT) is an unreachable place. To describe my style - Cute and creepy, with neon color, I guess. I’m a fan of scientific illustration. The calm and delicacy of them attract me so much and also affect my work. There are also lots of artists I admire, such as Mobius, Luigi Serafini and Taiyō Matsumoto.

I'm too young to give people advice. But there is one thing I keep telling myself : It's better to try and fail than regret not ever try. This helped me a lot in both my life and art practice.
