Denis Sartakov's "Out Of Space" is his  little improvisation on the theme of Microbiology. Relatively recently Denis discovered this wonderful world, which inspired him to create this project. He wanted to convey the depth, complexity and diversity of this microworld. About Science... About the Space... About the Universe...

I was inspired by the work of one artist (Alexey Kashpersky) for Microbiology. I decided to make an improvisation on the theme of microbiology. For a long time I have been working with the form, composition and especially the color.

The first where to start - I take a pencil and start drawing. So I'm looking for the future shape of the illustration. Once I finished the sketches I start to sculpt a model in ZBrush work through all the details and add new ones. Then I begin to work with material of the model, but rather with its color. Once I liked the color combination, I stand in 3dsmax model and begin to work with composition and lighting. This is the final stage of the work, when I find a good combination of light and composition, I do visualization, and color correction.

Frankly people like this project. They especially like the colors ... The depth of the space. Through this project, I started studying microbiology. To subsequently become a medical illustrator. I believe that this is a very useful thing for science and humanity. I really like the new visual world that opens microbiology.
