Armend Berisha's project "PETSHOW" is a TV show which is broadcasted on Klan Kosova and produced by "MOMENTS". Generally the TV show focuses on pets, mostly dogs, which is one of the reasons why he chose the dog as a symbol, the symbol also shows the shape of the letter P as the in Pet.

I believe that using a dog symbol is very suitable for the logo of this TV Show; besides informing people what the show is about it also brings good feelings to all viewers, especially those who love for animals.

It is important to mention that I did not want to choose a specific dog race, it is a general dog figure which brings viewers good emotions through its loveliness. Through research I have come to a conclusion to use gold since it a color which a lot of dogs have in common.

Wordmark (PETSHOW) is composed of very simple letters with some curved edges on the right side to diminish "the seriousness" of excessive that is not suitable with the this spirit of this TV show, moreover it makes it look warmer and flexible.

Since the beginning of the contract for re-branding the Petshow, I have had in mind the figure of a dog which is a symbol closely related to the name of the show. Initially, I have tried a watermark logo on which the letter P had symbolized the dog sign, and then the other letters were connected and created the name of the show. However, after many attempts I have chosen a Symbolic Logo because I wanted to emphasize the name PETSHOW but yet keeping the symbol and its meaning close to the letter P. Furthermore, the Symbolic Logo representing a dog, shows energy, power and is yet very positive and happy.

I strongly believe that a designer should never limit him or herself in a specific style of work, but rather be limited among simplicity. Besides the fact that a design should look appealing and beautiful, it must transmit a message to the audience. When it comes to inspirations, I tend to be inspired from everything around, including nature, objects, people, animals, vehicles and more. Also, an important inspirational source is also websites which publish qualitative work from designers all around the world, like in Behance, pinterest, design ideas and more.

The world of graphic designers should be similar to the one of fashion designers, on which there are no limits to express the creativity. The work which graphic desginers create should bear its name like fashion designer do (Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren and others). It is an undisputable challenge to work independently, which is also a catalyst driving us to giving the maximum effort in representing our names in the best way possible. One of the most inspiring designers for me is Paul Rand, and I recommend all fellow artists and aspiring artists to look around Rand’s work and get inspired from his life.
