The most secure iron, Pushiron. Just push it as if it is a push-button switch. This is a novel alternative to conventional electric irons posing risk of burn injuries.
Inspired by push buttons, Pushiron is designed as such to uncover the hotplate when pressing the big, red button. 
Pushiron can free you from danger as it enhances safety measures.

Safe color, safe materials

Inspired by push-button switch, Pushiron is designed as such to uncover the hotplate when pressing the big, red button. 
A polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) lining allows an immediate insulation of heat, facilitating temperature control. An easily accessible red button as well as temperature notifications through LED light reduces the risk of danger, while providing ease and comfort at one hand. 
Unlike one of those traditional irons with sharp edges, this cover which hides the plate in exactly 45-degree angle enhances safety in use. 
Wireless use is also available, if fully charged. Four stages of battery life are signalized through the round, LED light. 

With a single button, power, temperature, and hot plate coverage can be controlled. 

I used the CAD programs Rhinoceros and keyshot to create 3D images of Pushiron. And used Adobe's Lightroom and Photoshop for layout design and image retouching.
I went through a direct decomposition and prototyping process to study the features and images of the first inspired push-button switch. By doing so, I was able to create a Pushron with functionality that was easier and safer to use.

An image of a sharp-edged plate commonly comes to mind when thinking of irons. Though sharp and keen, it boasts in virility. A design trend for electronic devices should be incorporated with an element of 'furniture' as one interior design. Likewise, irons should also be featured as one of those furniture in common households. 

People also sympathized with the above-mentioned images.
I was able to do research on materials and research on safe colors. I am planning to do more works to grow as a product designer and Art-director.
