The Mystic Alphabets by Ise Ananphada is a series of illustrations inspired by a love story from a Thai magazine, called 'Dichan Magazine'. Dichan Magazine is a local magazine about lifestyle, gossip, beauty and fashion. See Ise's stunning illustrations below.

The Mystic Alphabets is a series of illustration inspired by a love story from "Dichan Magazine", a magazine in Thailand. I drew the Alphabet series around 2013 and started my latest project in 2014 (as you can see on my Behance, the Fantasize and the Paradox).

When I do a project for a long period of time, I always find some spectacular topic to be used as a theme. The alphabet came up when I have read a love story in an article in those magazine. I interpreted each article. Like, there's an article about unfaithfulness, then I choose "A" meaning for "Affair" that is somehow related to the topic.

I don't have a specific inspiration for this project aside from the article in the magazine but, people have told me that it reminded them of Mucha's work. I wasn't expecting it, but, it is a great compliment ;)

I think an important key to success is being active. Active for: working, finding an inspiration, your passion, your desire and most especially 'to keep walking'. Everything is possible.

About Ise Ananphada

Ise Ananphada is an Illustrator from Bangkok, Thailand. Ananphada is known for her delicate illustration of women and the female form all presented in a vintage style. Ise’s beautiful illustrations with aerial rendering style and clever use of pastel colors seem to not only show off the gentle female nature; but, if you take a closer look, you will notice the intricate details of her paintings, and layers of symbolism that Ise describes as “visions, illusions, madness, genius and poetry.” See the complete project - The Mystic Alphabets and more of her work at Behance.
