Young Concept
The house is made of three prismatic volumes placed upon each other and oriented in a different direction. The back facade is opened toward the courtyard that has a pool and is rich in vegetation. The windows with generous dimensions bring light to both the living room and the main bedroom above. The light gives the space a spectacular dimension.
The building lays on a metal structure that allows wider openings and cantilevered volumes. Volumetric dynamic is expressed through window cuttings as well as through choice of materials - wood, stone, glass, metal – that cover each volume in a different manner.
The project, “Young Concept”, is a dynamic and vibrant home, designed for an adventurous young couple. The modern style of the home, the playful volumes and the dynamic materials used - wood, stone, glass, metal – were carefully chosen as to express the personality of the owners.
The architects and builders paid attention in particular to choice of technical solutions and exterior/interior finishings.
The design concept is created with 3D Max and the detailed architectural plans are designed with Archicad. The concept and technical solutions were carefully designed to reflect the client's functional requests and construction budget.
Due to attention for details, choice of medium technical solutions and finishings, as well as to involvement of both architects and beneficiary, the construction costs have been substantially reduced down. Thus, the general construction costs of the building were considerably reduced.
The projects involved a long process of negotiation with the suppliers, builders and other external contractors. The time spent in the office and on the building site was enormous, discussing the best offers. The uniqueness of this projects is the client's active involvement in the design process and construction mediation.
The project is also the winner of 2015 edition World Architecture Awards. The award is for remarkable residential buildings.
