Floral Hipsters. A series of character based illustrations i made one day for fun. The basis for the project was to try to create new textures and to work on my character based illustrations from sketching through to digital creation.

It was pretty random, i guess i just started sketching out stuff on paper. I live in the Mile End part of my city, Montreal. The area is full of hipsters and young people so that probably had an influence.

So i actually started by sketching out the characters on paper, once finished i scanned them onto my computer, opened illustrator and started to digitally create them.

Once all of the characters were finished in illustrator i imported each component into photoshop and started to use various brushes to create fills and texture.

I repeated this exact same process for the flowers and plants.

The project is pretty new so far so not much feedback yet.

I had some likes and a couple of friends enjoyed it but other than that i would love to know what everyone else thinks so let me know.
