The concept bottle "Io Milk" is a package born from a childhood memory. A design with a mixture with the milk canister and the roman vases with a message to encourage a healthier lifestyle and contribute to a cleaner environment as it is meant to be made out of a biodegradable material.

The origin of the idea came from the phrase "with what i associate milk with" and after staring at the clouds during a break i remembered a couple of scenes from my childhood memories in my grandmother's village (a Romanian village in Ukraine) where sometimes i used to get bored and started to play with the milk canisters as they where a lot there even to this day.
So the thought came why aren't there milk bottles with shape resemblance of the milk canister as it's a beautiful shape and even probably has a emotional value for some people as it could bring back memories of childhood.

For the design procedure i like to sum it up through 3 stages:
1. Making research along with some sketches that come in to mind.
2. Intensive sketching and transferring ideas in to a 3d software.
3. Final refinements and putting the work to showcase.

Software: 1. Solidworks - a cad software widely used by engineers and designers.
2. Keyshot - a 3d rendering software.
3. Illustrator for the label design.
4. Photoshop for the final image process.

I used to consult a lot of my friends, colleagues that are in the same field and also that are in marketing and engineering, they where quite encouraging as they did like the idea of the concept.
This project took a while as there where a lot of mental blocks, researches that needed to be done, stages that made you think that are the final but in reality deep down there was a lot to work on. The final stage was felt as a enlightenment quite similar to a pilgrimage.
Later on looking at this concept i noticed a "Gestalt" effect in the bottle as it had elements that resembled the human body a thing that at the conscious level for some people it might go unnoticed.

P.S. A funny thing was with friends that deal with ecology, the material from what it was meant to be made from brought a really long debate on the table.

The name "Io" was inspired from the greek mythology.
