As technology continues to evolve and more things turn digital, we live in a world of immediate satisfaction and over consumption. We are losing the physical and tactile impact that a photo holds. This camera concept merges the attributes of a polaroid with a DSLR and digital camera, to create a device that allows you to save and share moments of your life in the best way.

As an adventurer and photographer I have been shooting in different format of photography such as digital film and polaroid. With experience across the board I have developed issues with each format. I chose to address the issues I had to create an improved photography device that focused on saving and sharing memories. The product's form is a byproduct of the camera's interaction. Its different touch points and features helped inform surface transitions part breaks and materials in a simple form.

This product followed my conventional design process. This let's me exercise skills such as sketching, concepting in Photoshop, Illustrator, and creating CAD with Solidworks and rendering with Keyshot. It is typical to jump back and forth between CAD and concepting through sketching as ideas are formalized and refined.

You always learn the most through talking about your projects with others. Making sure to get feedback along the way really helped inform the end product. Print was a concept that confronted issues I had as a photographer, but it was great to see other photographers echo and agree that this concept addressed shortcomings they have faced as well.
