Steam 1 by Sergei Danilov
Steam 1 is digital artist Sergei Danilov's architectural concept of a steam punk house. Inspired by Jacque Fresco's The Venus Project. The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable, but as totally unacceptable.
The idea to create this project came up after watching the movie about Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project. Though, on the design stage I moved to the side of steam punk, something like the movie The Fifth Element. To obtain a mixture as a result. I wanted to do something cold and alien in a warm woods, something hidden and dangerous. Something that doesn't fit for life.

I originally wanted to simulate the trunk with branches. Stem with leaves in different directions. Like some cold urban in imitation of natural forms. I do not position myself as a designer. Unlike designers I don't like doing projects that has a particular style, structural rules or a matter of convenience. My aim is to create the emotion, so I really worked more with an artistic's point. I am inspired by a lot of people on a level with things and nature.

I would advise young artists to be yourself and do not afraid to create your own style. You can catch crazy idea and then transform (adapt) it to some commercial. As a variant or you can do it just for pleasure and satisfaction.
